Summer 2015 Monday Coed Kickball @ Goodale Park

It was a close battle that came down to the final out with runners in scoring position, but Sit On My Base came away with the 13-11 victory over Poundtown. Both teams were able to take advantage of slippery playing conditions to put up a number of blows going back and forth in the scoring column. Sit On My Base was able to create some separation going into the final inning up by 4 runs. Poundtown drawing inspiration from their great team uniforms, was able to rally scoring 2 but came up just short leaving 2 runners on base with the final out being recorded.

I'd Kick That remains perfect after their 15-2 win over Bareburger. I'd Kick That used a balanced offensive attack of peppering in base hits followed by big base clearing blasts to the outfield. The wet conditions made it hard to track down and catch fly balls. The Bareburger offense also struggled to start, but they were able to find some momentum towards the end of the contest. With the win, I'd Kick That is one of the only two remaining unbeaten teams and they face off next week to determine who will be left on top of the standings.

Sit on My Base started out of the gates hot and jumped to an early lead in their 17-2 win over Bareburger. They managed to build an 11 run cushion after just 2 innings of play. Bareburger was able to clamp down and hold them scoreless for several innings and even got on the scoreboard themselves. However, Sit on My Base had one more big inning in them to push the lead back out to 15. Sit on My Base is now sitting in 4th place with their 3-2 record.

Pitches Be Crazy put together a solid performance in their 8-1 victory over I'd Kick That. Their spectacular defense carried them through the game with several web gems coming from 3rd base. I'd Kick That had difficulty getting anything past him. Pitches Be Crazy also brought the run support driving in 8 runs to back up their stellar defense.

The Hunks completed the perfect regular season, with a 0 in the loss column. They picked up two huge wins against Poundtown and G String Divas on the last day of the regular season to claim the number 1 seed in the playoffs. The Hunks displayed their impressive defense giving up a single run in both contests. We'll see if they can continue this impressive run into the playoffs, where anything can happen.
