Summer 2016 Wednesday Coed Softball @ Fred Beekman Park

A great evening of softball last night as all 3 games got all 7 innings in of play and all very competitive close games. Should be interesting to see who comes out on top in this league as it is all pretty equal.

Zooper Troopers - 5 Get Hits - 6
What a game to start off with as Get Hits started out 3-0 through the 1st 3 innings, but Zoopers got in on the action scoring 4 runs in the 4th to take the lead 4-3. The lead didnt last long as Get Hits added 2 more runs to make it 5-4. Zoopers would trail 6-4 going into the 7th and were able to put up 1 run leaving the tying run on 3rd. An exciting game all the way through though.

BOTTOM OF THE FIFTHS - 10 SONS OF PITCHES - 9
Another great game that went down to the wire. Bottom of the 5ths started strong and held the lead all the way through, but whenever the 5ths got comfortable those Sons of Pitches came roaring back and the last inning was the prime example of that as the 5ths lead it 10-5, but after 4 runs scored the 5ths were getting a little scared as the Sons of Pitches had a runner on 3rd with 2 outs, but a little liner to short ended the game as the 5ths overcame the late Sons of Pitches ralley in the 7th inning.

BOTTOM OF FIFTHS - 16 TRUMPS WALL - 9
The 1st inning was all Bottom of the Fifths as they poured on 8 runs in what looked like would be an easy slaughter. However, after that 1st inning Trumps Wall played better defense and started to score some runs as well. Take out the 1st inning and Trumps Wall wins the game 9-8. However, the 1st inning does count and the Fifths will take the double header sweep!

Great games last night besides those Sons of Pitches no showing, but the Zoo Team is happy that they got a victory!

TRUMPS WALL - 10 GETS HITS - 6
A great game all the way through as Get Hits started strong putting up 3 runs but Trumps Wall added 4 themselves. After that it was back and forth through the next few innings. Nobody wanted to lose this game it was intense let me tell you! Trumps power surge came in the 5th inning pulling a way by a few runs giving them a 10-5 lead. Get Hits would add another run in the 6th inning but couldnt make that comeback as Trumps Wall is making a push to be the best team in the league.

BOTTOM OF FIFTHS - 9 GET HITS - 5
Another great game as last week these two teams met and score was a whopping 31-7. This week however Get Hits had their game face on and played like they meant it! This game was at 5-5 in the 6th inning where the 5ths added 4 runs to take a comfortable lead into the 7th inning. Get Hits couldnt comeback in this game either but still hell of a game.
