THE WIND BOWL
It was your basic Week 1 early spring gameday as the winds were steady all day long making it a factor. All games were pretty close so I can envision lots of parody in the league in which anyone can be the champion.

No Punt Intended and the Shipyard opened up the season. It was No Punt going up early 6-0, but The Shipyard came back to take the lead with 2 straight TDs to make it 13-6, however thats when No Punt got hot and capitalized off some late turnovers by the Shipyard as No Punt then took a 19-13 lead. All No Punt had to do was kneel the ball at the end but decided to drive it and with around .14 seconds left threw a pick in the endzone giving the Shipyard a chance at victory, but that was not meant to be as No Punt Intended takes the victory 19-13.

Option Select and Schlitz took the field next in this barn burner. Schlitz opened the game with a nice long drive ending in a TD and spirits were high as things looked up, but little did they know that would be their last TD of the game. Option Select ended the half with a toss up deflection falling in the right hands for a TD and conversion giving them the halftime lead at 7-6. Option Select would add on 1 more TD and play great defense to hold on to the 13-6 victory.

Regulators came at full force early and ready to go against the MitchMatch team. The hyped up Regulators started on defense but MitchMatch pulled out 2 big plays to score quickly into the wind to take the early lead at 6-0.Regulators stalled on their first drive but took the lead on their 2nd drive making it 7-6 at the half.Regulators added an early 2nd half td to make it 13-6, but MitchMatch wasnt going away easy as they had an opportunity to tie it up after a TD halfway through the 2nd half., however the Regulators would not be denied as they put up the insurance TD late in the game to capture the 19-12 victory.

In the final game of the day it was Reapers against Tornados. The Reapers started really slow trailing 7-6 at halftime, but came out on fire in the 2nd half putting up 23 unanswered points to make this the most lopsided of games. The Tornadoes our indy team will have it together next week as the Reapers will happily take the 1-0 start.

DEFLATEGATE PART II, CHOKING PROBLEMS AND DRUG ABUSE HEADLINE WEEK 2
Some really close games this week as 4 out of 5 games were decided by a TD or less, thats 80% folks! Again, this season looks like anything goes on who the favorite is, so bring your A game each week!

Another cool windy day which could cause some deflation in the balls, but on windy days like the last 2 Sundays why would you want a deflated ball? Its like a duck up their (right regulators)

REGULATORS - 13 OPTION SELECT - 6 - Option Select started this game off good scoring on the opening drive then nothing nadda rest of the game! Regulators had their chances as well to pull away but this game went down to the final play as scoring was limited, but the Regulators would hold on for the W.

Mitchmatch - 39 Schlitz - 8 - After getting beat the first week MitchMatch decided to take part in some steroid usage to improve from their first weeks performance and indeed it worked as Schlitz had no idea what hit them from the jump. A pick 6 to start and another quick TD made this game a little lopsided from go. It was 27-0 at the half, but Schlitz did calm down in the 2nd half and played a much better game, but at that point it was just too late as the Roid Rage won easily. Watch out for a drug testing policy to be released soon this week.

NO PUNT INTENDED - 20 REAPERS - 20 - Oh what a game we had here! No Punt would score first making it 8-0, but the Reapers would score the next 2 TDs making it 12-8 at the half. However, No Punt didnt back down scoring on a quick drive to take back the lead at 14-12. The Reapers scored immediately to take the lead back to 18-14 to put the pressure back on NO Punt and off a pick 6 they were back in business leading it 20-18, so why do we have these silly little extra points for this reason, the Reapers picked off the ball to return it for 2 points to tie the game up at 20! Still with 4 min left both teams had opportunities to win the game but we went into OT in which neither team was able to come up with the winning score so game tied!

SHIPYARD - 28 TORNADOES - 25 - We almost had an epic choke job in this game as the Shipyard jumped out to a 21-0 lead! Game Over right? Wrong! The Tornadoes came spinning back and had an opportunity at the end to tie the game with the Tornadoes going for 3 points at the end coming up just short as the Shipyard avoided a big choke! Good job by the Tornadoes for not giving up!

BRUCE JENNERS OLD CLOTHES - 21 ALWAYSCOMPETE - 19 - Another close game as BJs opened up quickly to a 14-0 lead, but AC came back with a TD late in the 1st half to make it 14-7. BJs would add another TD to make it 21-7 but then AC made their comeback to 21-13 and late in the game scored again to make it 21-19, but BJ would get a 1st down and run out the clock to capture their first W of the season.

PREVIEW
SCHLITZ V. REGULATORS - Can Schlitz overcome Week 2s debacle and play like they did in Week 1 or even the 2nd half? Regulators will try to force turnovers to try and capture the victory. Depending on which Schlitz teams we see it could be close or lopsided game.

TORNADOES V. ALWAYSCOMPETE - Should be possibly the best game of the day as both teams put up a great 2nd half last week but both fell just short, so somebody will be picking up their first W of the season this week.

REAPERS V. MITCHMATCH - Another good game as the Reapers lucky to come out with a tie last week will go against the MitchMatch team who had a good confidence building game last week so we will see if that carries over,

DIEGOS V. SHIPYARD - Both teams have played in some dogfights the first 2 weeks. Shipyards uninspiring 2nd half made it alot closer then it needed it to be last week and Diegos problem is not so much defense but the lack of scoring prowess. Whats going to give in this game?

NO PUNT INTENDED V. BRUCE JENNERS OLD CLOTHES - Both of these teams last week had their work cut out for them so I can see this game being pretty close at the end as well. No Punt Intended hopes to not go into OT again all those extra plays will eventually take a toll on a body.
REGULATORS REGULATE AND REAPERS REAP
Finally a beautiful day out for Sunday football as we set the new Huntley Bowl record attendance of 175 some people in and out of the bowl all day yesterday. With better weather comes better offense apparently as a few teams took it to paint dirt often, as other teams still trying to work on a forward pass (jk).

Regulators opened up the day against Schlitz and it was ugly for Schlitz in this game as the Regulators dominated from the beginning cruising to an easy 46-6 game.

Tornadoes and Always Compete had a competitive game all the way through, but the Tornadoes made a few extra plays to give them the victory.

Reapers and MitchMatch was one of the top games on the docket and I guess getting threatened with steroid testing MitchMatch got off the juice and the Reapers were rewarded with a good offensive day rolling to an easy 42-21 victory.

Option Select was looking to get off their offensive offense going against the Shipyard this week but was still unable to get much going scoring just 13 points and their solid defense so far was let down by giving up a not too bad 26 points, but still more than enough than the offense can produce.

The best game of the day was saved for last as No Punt Intended put up their undefeated record against Jenners Old Clothes and it was a battle all the way through, but Jenners Old Clothes would stay perfect handing No Punts their first L of the season to go to 1-1-1 on the season.

WEEK 4 PREVIEW
Whats in store for us this week?

SCHLITZ V. NO PUNT INTENDED - I heard it through the grapevine that Schlitz is working on something big for this week - After a disastrous 2 weeks stretch they are looking for anything to change their fortunes (Could Johny Manziel be returning to Ohio?)

MITCHMATCH V. SHIPYARD - This should be the matchup of the week as both teams are capable of good play and also have times drought so should be interesting to see who comes out on top.

REGULATORS V. TORNADOS - Regulators have a swag to them this season as they think they are the team to beat. Tornadoes would like nothing more than to blow them away.

JENNERS OLD CLOTHES V. REAPERS - Another fantastic matchup on paper. Both teams have the offensive firepower to make this an explosive game, so whichevers teams defense steps up will win the game.

ALWAYS COMPETE V. OPTION SELECT - The Option Select is looking to find some sort of offense moving forward being able to score more than 13 points is vital and they said that they have a secret play that will get them a TD each time they run it. Always Compete said they have a defense they run that will get them an INT each time the opposing teams throws the ball so we will see what happens.
LOPSIDED SUNDAY GAMES
Its been a crazy season so far and games have mostly been competitive, but yesterdays games were a little on the lopsided nature except a couple. A few injury bugs popped up yesterday so hopefully nothing serious to those that got banged up yesterday.

NO PUNT INTENDED - 41 SCHLITZ - 7 - Schlitz have been pounded the last few weeks, but found a way to score late in the game to avoid the shutout. No Punt Intended however will savor the victory.

MITCHMATCH - 27 SHIPYARD - 19
The best game of the day lived up to the hype. Mitchmatch was down a player and the Shipyard took advantage early going up 13-0, but the predictable play calling caught up to them as Mitchmatch scored the next 2 TDs to go up[ 14-13 at the half. Once Mitchmatch got going they were not being stopped as they put the final dagger in the Shipyards coffin scoring with about 3 minutes left and the Shipyard throwing a late pick.

REGULATORS - 41 TORNADOS - 28 - It looked like the Regulators were about to get blown away early trailing 28-15 at the half, but a quick score to start the 2nd half made it 28-23 and another TD gave them the lead at 30-28. The Tornados fell apart at the seems and the Regulators kept their perfect season alive!

BRUCE JENNERS OLD CLOTHES - 40 REAPERS - 18 - This should have been one of the better games but the Reapers got frustrated with each other and it all fell apart as Jenners Old Clothes had no problems cruising in this game.

ALWAYSCOMPETE - 36 OPTION SELECT - 14 - Alwayscompete was off and running in this game as Option Select couldnt find a completion anywhere. AC lead it 22-0 at the half and both teams played to a tie in the 2nd half as Option Select started to find some mojo with their offense towards the end of the game, maybe that is a spark to ignite them for future games.

Week 5 Preview
REAPERS V. REGULATORS - Maybe one of the more important games on the schedule here as the Regulators are trying to keep their perfect record in tact. With the Reapers loss last week and now 1.5 games out of first place this is an important game to get otherwise could head into a tailspin. Should be good!

NO PUNT INTENDED V. MITCHMATCH - Another good game as both teams have been playing well lately. No Punt maybe favored but MitchMatch will have something to say about the outcome of this game.

ALWAYS COMPETE V. SHIPYARD - And yet another equally good game on the schedule. AC capturing their 1st W of the season and the Shipyard being hit or miss each week should make for an interesting outcome as this game will come down to the wire.

TORNADOS V. DIEGOS OPTION SELECT - Can Diegos stop the Tornados running attack? If so they have a shot, but if the Tornado defense holds up they should be in it to the end.

BRUCE JENNERS OLD CLOTHES V. SCHLITZ - On paper it looks like all Bruce Jenners game, but Schlitz is hoping for sloppy conditions to yuck up the game with so they can keep it close and pull it out in the end.
HOMESTRETCH
We are hitting the home stretch of the season and Wins are huge this time of the season with 1st and 5th place just 2 games difference. Should be a good finish as we go on our bye week this week.

REAPERS - 27 REGULATORS - 19
Big game on the docket sheet and it didnt disappoint. It was a close 1st half as the Reapers lead it 14-6, but the Regulators made a comeback, but it was the conversions that stumped the Regulators in this game. Reapers lead it 21-19 because of the failed conversions by Regulators and a late TD made it 27-19, but the Regulators had a shot to go down the field and tie the game but an INT cost the game for the Regulators as the Reapers come back from their disappointing loss last week. Regulators still control their own destiny for the 1 seed in the playoffs however if they win out.

NO PUNT INTENDED - 29 MITCHMATCH - 12
This game was a little closer than the score indicated as Mitchmatch scored on the 1st play from scrimmage, but NPI would slow and steady march down the field to take the lead 7-6 and add another 2 TDs to lead it 21-6 at the half. Mitchmatch would get the game within striking distance at 21-12, but a late TD by NPI would put the nail in Mitchmatches coffin as they take it 29-12.

SHIPYARD - 29 ALWAYSCOMPETE - 12
Its a rare score but we had it back to back yesterday. Both teams looked strong early scoring on opening drives, but then Always Compete stopped scoring until their last drive as the Shipyards defense would confuse AC rest of the way as the Shipyard would cruise in this game.

TORNADOS - 13 OPTION SELECT - 12
The Option Select looked good in the 1st half putting up 12 points and controled most of the game leading it 12-7 at halftime. Option Select had a few opportunities to ice the game but failed to do so. Tornados stayed withing striking distance and put up the go ahead TD with about 2 minutes left in the game and Option Select couldnt move the ball for the game winning drive.

BRUCE JENNERS OLD CLOTHES - 59 SCHLITZ - 0
No giggles after this game after BJs lead it 41-0 at the half it was all but over. To add insult it started to rain towards the middle to end of the game.

SHEW
A few lopsided games went down yesterday, but we also had a few good games as well. This Sunday will be the last regular season week. Playoffs will be the week after Memorial Weekend. June 5th and 12th

SHIPYARD OVER REGULATORS 21-19 - One of the best games of the day as the Shipyard had to overcome a player to still capture the victory. Regulators lead most of the game, but in the final minutes they couldnt stop the Shipyard marching down for the TD to take the final lead change after we had about 4 in the game.

REAPERS OVER ALWAYS COMPETE 19-12 - Reapers tried to give away the game after leading 12-0 at halftime AC came back to tie the game up and from there both teams looked like they didnt want to win the game, until the Reapers finally put it away under 2 minutes with a late TD for the victory.

NO PUNT INTENDED CRUSH OPTION SELECT 63-0 - Not much to say here in this game as 8 on 6 will always win.

BRUCE JENNERS OLD CLOTHES OVER OPTION SELECT 47-20 - Option Select picked up a few players and it helped a little, but not enough to hold down Bruces old clothes.

TORNADOS CRUSH SCHLITZ 25-19 - The spirit of Schlitz gets crushed as this game was back and forth all the way until the end and with 4th down the Tornados put it in the endzone with 20 seconds left for the victory.

BRUCE JENNER MANHANDLES MITCHMATCH 50-6 - Mitchmatch had a rough go at it throwing 6 picks will put anyone in a deficit but this was too much to get out of. BJ threw a pick on 1st play, but quickly got past that set back.

KICKING AND SCREAMING
Last week of regular season and we had some upsets which left some teams scratching their heads at what could have been!

OPTION SELECT FORFEITS TO REAPERS GIVING THE REAPERS THE 2ND SEED FOR PLAYOFFS AND DROPPING OPTION SELECT TO LAST!

SHIPYARD FUMBLES TO SCHLITZ 41-0 - This is what happens when you have only 5 show up. Schlitz winless on the season made the Shipyard pay for their shortage and it cost the Shipyard a 3 seed in the playoffs because....

ALWAYSCOMPETE DOWNS NO PUNT INTENDED IN OT 26-20.
No Punt went up 12-0 and it looked grim because it was a quick 12-0, but AC got it together and made it 12-7 at the half. No Punt would then go up 20-7 before AC made their comeback putting up 2 late TDs to make it 20-20. After No Punt couldnt score in OT AC would wrap it up on 4th down to win the game putting a dent in No Punts championship hopes.

MITCHMATCH WEATHERS THE TORNADOS 36-18 - Mitchmatch looked like a solid contender this week as you really dont know what team you will get with them week in and week out but this was a plus week as the Tornados never got it going and had to play catchup in the 2nd half.

BJS OLD CLOTHES OVER REGULATORS 32-19 - The Regulators were looking tough in the early going looking like they were going to get to half tied up at 13s, but a quick 1 minute drive gave BJs the 19-13 halftime lead and in the 2nd half the Regulators had trouble keeping up after 2 quick scores, but the Regulators covered the spread with a late TD and almost had another one at the end.

MITCHMATCH SHUTDOWN AC 20-6
To wrap up the season Mitchmatch comes away with another victory to throw their names in the championship hunt.

PLAYOFFS View Bracket
PLAYOFF PREVIEW
A little preview for you.

8) Always Compete v. 9) Schlitz and Giggles - These 2 teams did not play in regular season, so there will be a little element of surprise their. However, Vegas as AC as the 7.5 point favorites in this game, but Schlitz have been playing better and want to move on in the playoffs!

Winner plays 1) Bruce Jenners Old Clothes - Always Compete lost by just 2 points in the 1st game of the season, while Schlitz lost by alot more.

7) TORNADOS V. 10) OPTION SELECT - Another great 1st round games as the Tornados won the 1st game in the last minutes to win it 13-12 in a low scoring affair. Option Select hopes to not let that happen again. Vegas line is Tornados by 3.5 points so its a toss up!

Wiiner plays #2 Reapers - Reapers beat Tornados 29-7 in the 1st week and Option Select no showed last night.

#3) NO PUNT INTENDED V. 6) MITCHMATCH - No Punt was victorious a few weeks ago 29-12, so if Mitchmatch brings their A game it can be very competitive or it could go No Punts way if the defense is there. Vegas has No Punt at 5.5 points this week.

#4 SHIPYARD V. #5 REGULATORS - This was a two point Shipyard victory back in week 6 and the Shipyard only had 7 people as well. However, they only had 5 in week 7 so could be a bad sign. Regulators are playing better but have a QB competition to deal with. Alot of variables in this game so Vegas is not accepting bets on this game until we know whats happening.
