Spring 16 Tuesday Coed Kickball @ Goodale Park

The Grade School Champs may have been leading for the entire game, but Pitches Be Crazy never gave up. Pitches Be Crazy rallied when it mattered the most, in the bottom of the 9th to come back and force the tie. The Grade School Champs defense had held strong all game until that final inning, when they came up just short of recording the final out before Pitches Be Crazy tied the score back up. If the rest of the season is anything like this first game, we should be in for a wild ride.

QuickInsured and the Rubber Busters met in a real defensive battle. Baserunners were at a premium all game and you knew every potential run was going to be important. The Rubber Busters were the ones who took advantage of a few more opportunities to put up 3 runs on the scoreboard. Their defense held steady in crunch time and only allowed a single run for the entire contest.

QuickInsured bounced back in their second game of the night and got their offense rolling against the Cleary Team. After only scoring a single run in the game before, QuickInsured answered with a 12-5 victory. The Cleary Team put up their best offensive performance of the season, but it still was not quite enough to come away with the win. Both teams will hope their offensive showings in this game will be a sparkplug to get things rolling for the rest of the season.

Pitches Be Crazy may have jumped out to an early lead, but Slim Kickins was the team walking away with the victory at the end of the night. The game was a defensive battle with both teams, using one big inning each to get on the scoreboard. Besides those two innings where they did manage to score, both defenses kept runners off the base paths with solid defensive plays and very few mistakes. Slim Kickins just has one big rally with a string of deep balls that got down in the outfield. They managed to pull off the comeback win after falling behind early 2-0.
