Swift Kick In The Grass
Saved by the Ball Picks Up the W
Still fresh from the Summer session, Saved By the Ball came away with the 13-5 win over Slim Kickins in the first match up of the season. The score was tied at 3 after the first inning but Saved By the Ball was able to clamp down and get back into mid season form. Their defense held Slim Kickins to just 2 runs for the remainder of the contest and their offense exploded for 10 to pull away. They'll look to continue to stay in good form as this season looks to be more competitive than ever.
I'd Kick That Holds On
The Pumped Up Kicks made the bottom of the 9th interesting, rallying to bring the score to within one but in the end it was I'd Kick That going home with the 6-5 victory. I'd Kick That was able to jump out to an early lead, but was never able to put much distance between themselves and Pumped Up Kicks. Pumped Up Kicks took a few innings to get their offense going with it being their first game. However, they were able to bring the score back to one run in their last at bat but ended up coming just short in the comeback.

Cleary Company
Cleary Company Edges Pumped Up Kicks
Cleary Company was able to hold off the Pumped Up Kicks to take the 7-4 win. The game was close throughout, but Cleary Company was able to take advantage of some interesting base running to put some more runs on the board late and the Pumped Up Kicks were unable to answer. Both teams showed great improvement from their first week performances and will look to keep things rolling into next week.
Swift Kick in the Grass Wins in Walk-Off
Swift Kick in the Grass couldn't have had a more exciting first game than their walk-off victory over Cleary Company. After battling the whole game, the score was tied 3-3 headed into the bottom of the 9th. Swift Kick saved their deepest kick of the night for their last at bat. With a runner on 1st base, the ball was crushed to deep right field over the defender and drove in the winning the run. We'll hope to see more exciting finishes like that through the rest of the season.

I'd Kick That Rolls
I'd Kick That impressed in their 12-0 victory over Swift Kick in the Grass. I'd Kick That controlled the game with their stout defense, limiting Swift base runners to a minimum. I'd Kick That was also able to get on the scoreboard with a couple of big innings to distance themselves from their competition. They now are on top of the standings with a 3-0 record.
Swift Kick Tops MedOne
Swift Kick in the Grass was able to rebound in their second game of their doubleheader and went home with a 9-2 win over MedOne. The contest remained close through the first few innings, but one big inning with 6 runs let Swift Kick take control of the match. Swift Kick began to click more on offense and may have figured out their strategy for moving forward in the season.

Saved by the Ball
Saved by the Ball Pulls Away Late
After battling for most of the match up, Saved by the Ball used a big late inning rally to distance themselves from the Cleary Company. The Cleary Company squad put up their season high in runs with 9, but it was not enough to come away with the victory. Saved by the Ball held control for most of the contest and took advantage of the long ball to drive in their runs. Cleary Company was just not able to keep up on the offensive end.
Great Defense Carries Saved by the Ball
Saved by the Ball put on a defensive clinic in their second game of their doubleheader, putting up a complete game shut out. Saved by the Ball went home with the 8-0 victory over Swift Kick in the Grass. Swift Kick was just unable to get anything clicking on offense and base runners came at a premium. Saved by the Ball made all the plays necessary to keep them off the bases and most importantly off the scoreboard. Saved by the Ball now move to 4-1 and are in good position near the top of the standings.

Slim Kickins Tops Cleary Company
Slim Kickins was able to build and early lead and hold on for a 10-7 win over the Cleary Company. Slim Kickins was able to find the gaps in the shorthanded Cleary defense to drive in their runs. Cleary Company continued to battle throughout the contest but were never able to bust open a big rally, with their automatic outs spread through their lineup. Slim Kickins is now looking to continue their winning streak into the playoffs.
