Bad News Brews Propelled by Quick Start
The Bad News Brews took advantage of getting on the board early with their 8-4 win over the HeartBreakers. The cushion they built in the 1st inning allowed them to remain in the lead, as the HeartBreakers clamped down on defense for the remainder of the game. The contest become close in the final innings but the HeartBreakers were unable to overcome their early deficit. Dora was nominated as the Player of the Game for pitching a gem for the Bad News Brews.
Bernard's Tavern Wins in Comeback
Bernard's Tavern rallied from a 3-1 deficit to knock off Amazeballs. After giving up 3 early runs, Bernard's put on a defensive clinic by shutting out Amazeballs for the remainder of the game. Bernard's was able to get the offense rolling with some base hits followed by timely blasts to the outfield to drive in the runners.
Big Legs Lift Pitch Please!
Pitch please! showed off their power in their first game of the season in their 8-2 victory over Gas House Kickball. Pitch Please! drove in the majority of their runs with long shots to the outfield. They took advantage of the long ball as they had multiple home runs. Gas House was unable to figure out how to attack the Pitch Please! defense, as they never really got their offense clicking.

Bernard's Pulls Out Slim Victory
Bernard's Tavern was able to put another one in the victory column after their 8-7 win over Booze On First. The team's battled the entire match, answering each others rallies. After a neck and neck game, Bernard's was finally able to pull ahead and shut the door on Booze On First. Bernard's is now in comfortable position towards the top of the standings with their 2-0 record.
Undetermined Races Out of the Gate
Undetermined used an 8 run first inning to spring board them to a 17-10 victory over the HeartBreakers. The HeartBreakers didn't hang their heads after their rough start, and managed to cut the lead down and make it a close ball game several times. However, Undetermined answered with another big inning late to create some separation.
Bad News Brews Shows Off Power
Bad News Brews showed off their kicking power with several deep blasts in their 14-11 win over BOSS PEEPS. Bad News may be a little sore after all the running they did around the bases. They showed a great offensive game plan, with a mix of base hits followed by several home runs. BOSS PEEPS did respond with a great rally to get them back into the game, but just ran out of time before they could try and complete the comeback. With the win, Bad News Brews moves to 2-0 and has a great position near the top of the standings.

Bad News Brews Remain Perfect
Bad News Brews moved to 3-0 with their 11-2 victory over Gas House Kickball. The Brews showed off their balanced offensive attack with many contributing base hits and driving in runs. They did take advantage of some costly errors by Gas House, that led to some extra outs. Gas House also had a hard time finding a rhythm on the offensive side of the ball with their large roster size. Combining that with Bad News Brews great defense, it was hard to get things clicking to manufacture runs.
HeartBreakers' Offense Leads to Victory
If you like runs, this was a game for you. Both teams scored early and often, but it was the HeartBreakers who came out on top with a 16-10 victory over BOSS PEEPS. Both teams had impressive high scoring innings to keep the game close through the start of the game. Eventually, the HeartBreakers were able to clamp down on defense and create some separation on the score board.
Booze On First Tops the League Drunks
Booze on First was able to jump out to an early lead against the League Drunks, and they never looked back from there. The game did remain close but the League Drunks were never able to catch back up after falling behind early. Both teams flashed great defensive plays and solid offenses with smart base running, but it was Booze On First who came away with the 11-7 victory.

Booze On First Pulls Away Late
After a close contest for most of the game, Booze On First was able to turn it on when it mattered most. After trailing early in the game, they were able to rally for 5 runs late to put themselves on top and with some breathing room. Kickin' It Old School was able to jump out to an early lead, but were held in check after their first few big innings. Booze On First now heads into the final week with a big match up against first place Bad News Brews.
Bad News Brews Remain in First
The Bad News Brews continued their perfect season with a 16-3 victory over Tyler Perry's House of Pain. Bad News Brews continues to show an explosive offense every week, reaching double digits no problem. Their defense has also impressed holding teams to an average of just over 2 runs over the past 4 weeks. We'll see if anyone can stand in their way on their quest for the League Championship.
Big Blasts Power Undetermined
The New Kicks jumped out to their best start, but it wasn't enough to hold back Undetermined. Falling behind early in the game did not phase Undetermined as they were able to tack on runs throughout the contest and rely on their consistent defense to hold after the rocky start. Undetermined was able to do most of their scoring on some big blasts to the outfield that drove everyone home. Undetermined still has nothing to show in the loss column and will be a real threat come playoff time.
